Their joy turned to despair, however, when on June 10, 2002, their sweet Arrianna Rose was stillborn. The events of Arrianna’s death and the overwhelming feelings of failure and loss inspired Michelle qnd Andy to reach out to other parents suffering the loss of a child.

Michelle and Andy founded the Arrianna Rose Foundation to honor their daughter’s memory and to help to ease the pain of bereaved parents. They strove to make a difference in the lives of these grieving families by assisting with costly, unexpected funeral expenses.

In 2007, a jubilant Michelle and Andrew adopted a baby boy from Guatemala to fill their empty arms. Sadly, Michelle passed away just three weeks later. It was her deepest desire that the work of the foundation continue after her death. Her family and friends continue to honor that request today. But they cannot do it alone.
